Shobhit TyagiHi, friends it's Shobhit Tyagi and in this blog, we are going to review of movie Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. As the title of the movie suggests, the movie is a love story about Rocky (played by Ranveer Singh) and Rani (Played by Alia Bhatt). It’s a family drama-based love story.
Rocky is a Punjabi boy and Rani is a Bengali girl who falls in love with each other but both of their families are unhappy with their relationship as they have different cultures and value systems.
But both Rocky and Rani decide that they will marry each other no matter how. So, will they get to marry each other or they will fail to do so? The answers to all these questions will be given to the audience when they see the movie in their nearest theaters.

All these aspects of the movie have been written by three people; Ishita Moetra, Shashank Khaitan, and Sumi Roy. The story is not new as we have seen it many times in Bollywood as well as in Indian society. However, the way the movie has been made, adds a newness to the movie. The first half of the movie can be boring for a few people as you get to listen to a lot of old Bollywood movie songs in it but the second half is interesting as the story of Rocky and Rani moves from there.
Having said that, it's not a problem for everyone as many people in India do like old songs. The dialogues in the movie are very good.
Actors Performances - Alia Bhatt Movie Review
Ranveer Singh - He is extraordinary in the role of Rocky. He has done a great job in emotional scenes, romantic scenes, and comic scenes of the movie.
Alia Bhatt - As we all know; Alia Bhatt is a talented actor and she has proved it once again in this movie. She has dived into the ocean of Rani’s character. She also looked amazing in her clothes.
Dharmendra - His role is alright despite fewer minutes of role in the movie.
Jaya Bachchan - She is playing the role of Dhanlaxmi Randhawa and is fantastic. She has looked narrow-minded in her character.
Shabana Azmi - She has played the role of Jamini Chatterjee. She has also made her presence felt in the movie.
Duta Roy Chaudhary - He is playing the role of Rani’s father.
Direction of the Movie
The movie is directed by Karan Johar. He has narrated the story well and has taken good work out of his stars. The movie has a big canvas as it’s a story of two rich families.
Music of the Movie
The music is given by Pritam in the movie and the lyrics of the songs are given by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The music is decent but not a big buzz in the market right now. However, it will gain popularity in the coming days. We still remember that “Ae dil hai Mushkil” was also a movie by Karan Johar but it had such great music. That is not the case with this movie.

The movie will work at the box office and will be liked by the audience. They will have a good time watching it. However, it won’t be a superhit one. It will be a hit/successful movie only.
