Kesari Chapter 2 Movie Review - Will it Survive at Box Office?

Story of the Movie

The story is about the Jallianwala Bagh massacre that we have studied in the history books of schools. It was an incident in Amritsar when General Dyer killed thousands of innocent Indians with bullets. The film reveals how a lawyer named Sankaran Nair files a case against Dyer and how he provides justice to people.

The movie tells you about the challenges he faces during the case from the opposition. Will he be able to give justice to Indians? Will he win or lose? What happens to the general? All these questions will be answered once you see the movie.

The movie gives you hidden information about the massacre and the facts that are hidden in school books. The movie is directed by Karan Singh Tyagi and written by him as well.

Acting of Stars in the Movie

Akshay Kumar

He is playing the role of a lawyer named Sankaran who fights against Dyer in court. He has played the role extremely well and has lived the role. People will love his acting so much and there is no doubt that he has finally returned.

Ananya Pandey

She is playing the role of a female lawyer Dilpreet Gill who is the assistant of Sankaran Nair. She has acted well and supported Nair well. Her acting is very good.  

R Madhwan

He is playing the role of Neville Mckinley, a lawyer who fights against the Nair in the court. He does good acting and gives Nair tough competition. He plays a negative role and justifies his role.

Regina Cassandra

She is playing the role of the wife of Nair. She looks beautiful and her acting is good.

Simon Day

He is playing the role of the cruel and negative general dyer. He has acted very well and you start hating him after seeing him onscreen.

More actors have given good support too.

Direction of the Movie

The movie is directed by Karan Singh Tyagi and it's his first movie. He has made a very good movie that engages the audience very well. When you see the movie, you don’t feel that it is made by a beginner Bollywood director but a very mature one. So, he has done a very fine job with his direction.

He has kept the interest of the audience alive till the end of the movie and knows his job well.

Music of the Movie

The music is given by Sashwat Sachdeva and the songs are well. They go with the mood of the movie. Songs like “Kithe Gaya” and “Shera” are the best ones.

Final Verdict of the Movie

The movie is good and engages the audience very well. It does not get you bored and makes you like it till the end. It also lets you emotionally connect and sympathize with the martyrs of the Jalianwala Bagh massacre.

The acting of the actors is good and according to me, this is going to be a successful one at the box office. I give this movie a 5 out of 5 thumbs up. It's good to see Akshay Kumar in a power role.
